The India U16 Team – SAFF Championship

The Indian U16 teams, the National Team taking part in the SAFF U16 Championship in Bangladesh and the team currently touring Germany, posted big victories over the Sri Lanka U16s and Rosenheim U16s.
While the National Team convincingly beat Sri Lanka 5-0 at the Sylhet District Stadium in Sylhet, Bangladesh, the team preparing for the U17 World Cup overwhelmed local side Rosenheim 14-1.
This was the opening match of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) U16 Championship for India who will take on hosts Bangladesh in the next encounter on 13th August at 4.30 pm IST.
Meanwhile, the U16s on the Germany tour will look forward to their sixth match of the trip as they prepare for the AFC U16 Qualifiers to be held in Iran in September 2015.
