Delhi Dynamos LogoIn more positive news for grassroots football in India, Delhi Dynamos FC, Delhi’s Indian Super League (ISL) team,  recently conducted a football clinic and a football carnival. The clinic and carnival were conducted to give kids a taste of their training programs and increase their support base.

More than 180 enthusiastic boys and girls across age groups participated in the football clinic held at Army Public School, Noida. During the football clinic, children were introduced to a variety of the Delhi Dynamos coaching methods with their well-trained staff manning the field. The activities included a video screening, technique development and important tips on how to keep improving as footballers. To view more photos of the clinic, click here.

The carnival, called Delhi Dynamos Sunday Funday, was aimed at establishing a connect with their supporters, kids and adults alike. A freestyle & juggling competition, passing games, target hitting challenges, shootout competitions and small-sided 2 v 2 & 4 v 4 games were part of the activities during the carnival.

We hope that the Dynamos continue to leverage their growing influence and financial muscle (consider their just announced signing of Florent Malouda) to come up with more grassroots football initiatives.
