Football Comes to Indore

Indore City Football AcademyOne of the most heartening developments in recent times has been the growing reach of football in India. While the game continues to flourish in traditional strongholds such as Goa, West Bengal and the Northeast, we have seen the re-emergence of football in Punjab, encouraging initiatives in the Delhi area, movements like the Awadh Mutineers in UP and now a grassroots football academy in Indore.

Indore City Football Academy, founded by Chinmay Pandya, has a vision to promote the beautiful game by conducting training camps and programs for schools in the city. Inspired by Chinmay’s love for football and driven by his qualifications as a certified AIFF coach,  Indore City FA plan to bring a more professional and systematic approach to football training.

Still a fledgling initiative, it is very positive to see football coaching organisations such as Indore City FA breathe new life into grassroots football in India’s heartland of Madhya Pradesh (MP). GFI wishes them every success in their endeavours!
