While the German exposure trip began with a narrow loss to Jahn Regensburg, the young Blue Tigers have now settled down and begun to show their quality with better performances. The Indian U16 team have now registered back-to-back wins against German teams, DFI Bad Aibling and JFG Mangfalltal.

The first victory of the tour came against DFI Bad Aibling with the young India team scoring in the dying minutes of the match to register a 2-1 scoreline. Having gained some confidence, the boys then went on to post an impressive 5-2 win over JFG Mangfalltal’s U19 team with a flurry of goals late in the second half of the match.

Having started off slowly, the nearly two-month long Germany exposure trip will feature matches against renowned opposition that include the youth teams of Red Bull Salzburg and Bayern Munich. This tour is set to serve as preparation for the upcoming AFC U16 Qualifiers to be held in Tabriz City, Iran in a group comprising India, Bahrain, Lebanon and Iran. Further, it will help the team gain experience as they gear up for the AGS Cup in Spain which will also be held in September 2015 after the qualifiers.
